Here the Father devours the Son;
The Soul and Spirit flow forth from the Body.


The 1556 Figure shows the King seated on the throne, holding the Prince’s hand.  The drapery is yellow (or gold).

The 1607 version shows the King on the same throne as in Figure 9, with his mouth opening wide to devour the Prince.  The drapery is Green.

The 1893 version shows the King on the throne, with his mouth opening wide to devour the Prince.


…and the Soul is changed into Spirit,
and the Spirit is added again to the Body,
for thus it has stability.


Hall, in Man:  The Grand Symbol, states “In a Gnostic ritual it is written that the rulers of the sphere (Zodiac) create the soul from their own substance ‘out of the tears of their eyes and the sweat of their torment.’”  The Father, after consuming his Son, begins to sweat.
