Plate 18 starts with an image of the Moon in a chariot. The wheel of the chariot has the symbols of Cancer, the sign of the Moon.
The text has a description that isn’t assigned to a Plate:
Seventhly: Extinguish the Fire of one thing with the coldness of another.
The Element of Fire represents Heat and Dryness. Cold is represented by Water and Earth (Water being Cold and Moist, Earth being Cold and Dry). Though this description isn’t specifically assigned to Plate 18, the Plate contains Water as rivers and Earth as fields and mountains. Men and women (representing Earth) use Water (the mill using a water wheel, women collecting water for laundry, men catching fish from the water) and Air (hunting the birds for food, using birds for hunting).
To extinguish the Fire with Water and Earth is coagula. Eros and Psyche are reunited and married.
The description the text assigned to this Plate works well to organize the summary of the Plates of the Flasks.
